To ensure optimal performance, trim the wick to about 1/4" before lighting. Trim any excess wick before each use to prolong candle life and prevent overheating. When lighting for the first time, allow the wax to melt across the entire surface of the vessel. Avoid burning the candle for more than 4 hours at a time.
